Market Square Park counts down to River Revival Music Festival with a new, FREE monthly concert series featuring live music from regional heavy hitters. Brought to you by Splice Records, Saint Arnold Brewing Company and the Downtown District, you’re guaranteed good music, good times and good vibes.

Sweet Crude is a 6-piece crew consisting of New Orleans musicians Alexis Marceau, Sam Craft, Jack Craft, Skyler Stroup, Stephen MacDonald and Dave Shirley, and seeks to reconnect with their lineage through harmonies, tribal rhythms and pop hooks. Their lyrics combine English and Louisiana French — a dialect spoken in Louisiana for generations — creating a quirky sound with indie rock influences. Since their debut in Spring 2013, the band has hit the ground running with their music being heard in FX’s American Horror Story and on various radio platforms. According to NPR’s Ailsa Chang, the band’s latest album, Official-Artificial, “an energetic soundtrack for a new generation trying to bring an old language back to life.”

Ancient Cat Society is a six piece band comprised of core band members Sergio Trevino, Haley Lynch and Austin Sepulvado. With elements of pop, Americana, indie rock and doo-wop, Ancient Cat Society delivers diverse music that sets them apart from the rest of the Houston soundscape. The trio released their first self-titled album on Splice Records in 2017 and have since become a well-known sound around town.
